When it comes to CBD and Hemp products, a topic of discussion that comes up frequently is if the product is safe. The reason for this worry is because of the bad reputation that these types of products receive because of the fact that they come from cannabis plants.
Cannabis plants contain multiple types of chemicals, the two most popular ones being THC and CBD. When people think of cannabis plants they usually think of the most notorious type which is the marijuana strain. This plant contains high amounts of the chemical THC which is the psychoactive component that gives users the feeling of being high.
When it comes to CBD, it derives from Hemp plants which is also a derivative of cannabis. For this reason many people have misconstrued ideas in regards to CBD and hemp. As long as hemp is processed with strict standards it can be virtually 0% THC which allows it to be clean and safe for your pet.
For this reason we create the CBD products in-house. We want to make sure that from the source to the production and manufacturing we control the standard. We source only the highest quality ingredients from the beginning of the process in order to ensure that it is up to standards from the get go.
When it comes to dosing your cat, it can be difficult to find the perfect dose. The reason for this is because we have a lot of variables to account for when calculating that perfect dose. Luckily we have created an easy to follow system that will allow you to get as close as you possibly can to perfection, while keeping your cat safe.
First we need to get a general guideline of where the dosing should be at by calculating their weight and referencing this with the chart that we have created for you guys. Once you have their weight you can go to the row that is nearest to their weight. Since we have rows in increments of 5lbs go to the closest match. If your cat is perfectly in the middle of two rows, it is best to start them off with a lower dose and then move up from their if your cat responds better to these higher doses.
Now that you have arrived at your row, you can see that the columns refer to an average dose, a strong dose, and then your daily maximum. Here is where it gets tricky because it all depends on your cat. If they have strong issues they are dealing with it is best to give them a higher dosage in order to provide them relief that matches. When doing the strong dose, it is best to start off low and then work your way up as it will allow you more room for your cat to adjust and you will be able to find a nice balance instead of going directly to the strongest dose possible.
Always remember to avoid passing the maximum daily limit when trying to find this perfect balance for your pet. It is always good to start low and go high as it allows time for your pet to adjust to having Catnip and CBD in their system.
