This is because of hemp- CBD association with marijuana which may be harmful to pets if it contains a substance that is known as THC. Finding the Perfect dose for CBD treats
Figuring out the perfect amount to give your dog can be tricky. Luckily we have created an easy to follow dosing guide that can take all of the guesswork out of using Soft CBD treats for dogs. To determine how much CBD your dog can handle, just find out your dog's weight and compare it on the chart in order to determine where they should start. If your pet has certain issues that require a stronger dose refer to that column on the chart or stick with the average if they are responding well to that.
If the starting level is comfortable for them but they can use a little more remember that you can always work your way up to the strong level of dosing for their weight. Just make sure that you do not pass up the maximum amount of chews per day. Wherever you find a balance is where they should stick with their dosing, if there is room for more you can add some more chews piece by piece.
You will be able to determine if you give too large of a dose because your dog will become lethargic or have diarrhea. These are the only known side effects and for the most part are prevalent when using the CBD tinctures. I have 3 rescue Aussies who can get very noisy, especially wgeh we receive deliveries at out front door. Two of them are food aggressive. Although I love to rescue these beautiful animals, some days the cacophony of barking and crying as they jockey for superiority in the pack.
